Ardleigh Green Cricket Club Won 28 Runs

Match report On a scorching afternoon ant Buckhurst Hill, Green reached the quarter finals of the Dukes T20 Competition.
Paul Hurworth and Jon Bayfield made a solid start with an opening partnership of 67although Bambi must have killed as many flies as he scored runs. After Potter's dismissal, the innings began to fall away (to 126 for 7)until Chris Cook boosted the score to 171 boosted notably in an 8th wicket stand of 39 with Fraser King. The hosts reply began disastrously with a run out and a return catch to James Duhig in the first over. Hill got behind the rate but some big hitting by Josh Peters (59) and Atif Zafar (39) put them back on course for victory. Some good catching and a smart stumping by Martin Cason put Green back in control for a 28 run victory.
