Once again, Julie Cason will be running in the London Marathon to raise funds for the club. In 2004 and 2005, Julie raised enough money for us to purchase a bowling machine to assist in the development of youth cricket. In 2007, we started to see the benefits of such assistance with many players of 15 and under playing regularly in the senior teams. Following last year's success, it is important that we continue to improve facilities to keep the youngsters coming through. In particular, we are looking to upgrade our nets which is required for our club mark application.

As a friend of Ardleigh Green Cricket Club we hope that you, your family, neighbours, work colleagues or anyone else you know can help us develop these youngsters to the level of perhaps a Freddie Flintoff or Kevin Pietersen. Hopefully, in years to come, there will then still be a thriving AGCC where the next generation can come along and enjoy their Cricket and the important social life that goes with it as much as their dads and grandads did. 

All we are asking is, if everyone you know could help to sponsor Julie in whatever way they can, it will assist in securing the Club its place at the forefront of Essex cricket for many years to come.

The marathon takes place on 13th April and so there is plenty of time to arrange sponsorship.
