John served Ardleigh Green Cricket Club magnificently as
President until standing down at the end of 2004. He
gave many years service to the club as a hard hitting batsman but is
remembered more for his captaincy of the 1st XI. There was a small break in
his career with the club when he went to live in Australia between 1970 and
1971. He seems to have been travelling the World ever since then and has
residence in locations too numerous to mention.
