| JD formed a formidable slow bowling attack in tandem with Keith Mitchell which helped Ardleigh Green to several league titles. John was a left arm bowler who had the ability to move the ball either way with extensive variations in pace. A man of extensive vocabulary, JD's batting was probably best summed up by his more choice expressions although he still relates tales about hitting the ball into the 'Eagle & Child' car park. |  |
