| John Coyne is one of the club stalwarts. He bowled fast and
accurately with a magnificent action and became the first player to take
2000 wickets for the club. He took 10 for 20 in 1964 and has taken 9
wickets in an innings on 4 occasions. John also made useful runs although not always in
the V and showed a fine pair of size 9s in the outfield. John served the club magnificently as secretary for over 25 years and was elected President at the end of 2004. |
