| Gavin joined Ardleigh Green in 1999 and played much of that
season in the Sunday 2nd XI as he was ineligible for the Sunday League. He
led the Sunday League side in 2000 and the Saturday 1st XI in 2001 during
which time his batting held the side together. Left in 2002 to rejoin Ilford
but rejoined in 2004.Gavin is a stylish and consistent batsman who has
scored over 1,000 runs in 4 of his 5 seasons with the club.
