Matt has developed into a steady spin bowler making good
progress in each of his seasons in senior cricket. His control is impressive
and he shows good variety. His has shown that he is able to keep up an end
as well as score runs quickly without having his father's instinct for a not
out. In 2009 he was the club's leading all-rounder with 85 wickets and 922
runs. He has been captain of the Sunday 2nd XI in 2009 and 2008 combining
success with the ability to bring most people into the game.
