It was a black & white fantasy at Warley Park
Golf Club when Green held their annual dinner & dance on Saturday. John
Coxall was missing from an occasion designed to show off his hair but many
of the regulars were their to see the presentation of the awards by
Smudger and The Chair accompanied by The Hanger's endless script. Toast's
table scooped the Jokers Wild bounty and seemed to pick up most of the
raffle prizes as well. We were treated to some crooning from Mark & Trevor
and a disco from Jimmy Dean which saw various assorted tea ladies take to
the floor. If you look closely at the photos, you may see The Hanger in
festive mood and the not so pleasant sight of Cockinson on the dance
floor. Credit must go to the Colletts, the Shoreys and the Dacks for
getting Clouseau to open the bottle of wine he had planned on hoarding for
the next five years. Another splendid occasion for which we are thankful
to Marie and The Trolley
